(SHB-PR) In 2009, the business performance of SHB was very impressive with all of the financial indicators surpassing the plan. Specifically: Total assets was 27,439.5 billion dongs, reaching 124.73 % of the 2009 plan; Fund mobilization on the 1st Market (Deposit from customers) was 14,501.2 billion dongs, reaching 100.01% of the plan; Loans outstanding was 12,828.75 billion dongs, reaching 116.04 % of the plan. Especially, net profit before tax (NPBT) (after making full provisioning in accordance with the SBV’s regulations) was 415,3 billion dongs, reaching 102. 6% of the adjusted plan. Compared with 2008, total assets of SHB increased by 90.8%; Fund mobilization of the 1st Market (Deposit from customers) increased by 52.36 %; NPBT increased by 54.19 %.
Together with the success in business performance, on 31/ 12/ 2009, SHB obtained the Certificate of Public Offering from the State Securities Commission (SSC). According to the certificate, SHB will offer a total amount of 15 million convertible bonds with the maturity of 12 months, par value of 100,000 VND/bond, distribution (subscription) timeline is within 90 days since 31/12/2009, of which: 10 million bonds are offered to existing shareholders at the ratio of 20:1(i.e. a shareholder holding 20 shares will be eligible to buy 01 bond) at the price of 100,000 VND/bond; 5 million bonds are offered to the public including both individual and institutional investors at the price of 125,000 VND/bond. After 12 months, the bonds will be automatically converted into shares at the ratio of 1:10 (1 bond will be converted into 10 shares). The shareholder date (the date when the list of existing shareholders is finalized) to decide the right to buy the bonds will be on 18/01/2010. The subscription and payment timeline for the bonds will be from 28/01/2010 to 02/03/2010. With this convertible bond issuance, SHB will reach the chartered capital of 5,000 billion dongs by early 2011.
